Drutex Window Service

DRUTEX S.A. is a Polish joinery manufacturer headquartered in Bytów. Its range includes PVC windows from the IGLO families and aluminium windows based on several MB systems. For service, identifying the exact model matters because different lines can use different profile constructions, gasket arrangements, glazing and hardware configurations.

We service selected Drutex windows for adjustment, hardware and handle repair, gasket replacement and insulated-glass replacement. We do not promise “full service for every line” without identifying the construction. We do not service entrance doors or HST / lift-and-slide systems, including IGLO-HS constructions. PVC balcony and patio doors are serviced only when their construction falls within our supported door scope.

We provide this service as an independent window-repair company, not as an authorised DRUTEX service centre. Before selecting parts, we identify the exact model, installed hardware and other components relevant to the repair.

IGLO 5, IGLO Light and IGLO Energy – why the model matters

• IGLO 5 – a five-chamber system with two EPDM gaskets; the current manufacturer specification lists MACO MULTI-MATIC KS hardware.
• IGLO Light – a five-chamber system with two EPDM gaskets; the current specification also lists MACO MULTI-MATIC KS hardware.
• IGLO Energy – a seven-chamber system with three gaskets, including a central gasket.

We therefore do not assume that every Drutex window uses Roto NT, Winkhaus activPilot or the same gasket. The actual markings and components are checked first.

Drutex aluminium windows

Drutex also offers aluminium windows including MB-45, MB-70, MB-79N SI and MB-86N SI systems. The current MB-86N SI product information lists MACO MULTI-MATIC KS hardware and EPDM sealing. For service, we still identify the exact construction and installed components before selecting parts.

Which symptoms justify Drutex window diagnostics?

• the sash drops, rubs or does not close correctly;
• the handle becomes stiff, jams or does not operate the locking points correctly;
• air movement is noticeable around a closed window;
• a gasket is cracked, permanently deformed or displaced;
• the insulated glass unit is damaged or persistently misted between panes;
• hardware has visible play, damage or abnormal operation.

A symptom is not a diagnosis. A draught does not automatically mean a worn gasket, and a stiff handle does not prove that the hardware is misaligned.

What can Drutex window service include?

Model and hardware diagnostics

We check the window model, sash geometry, gaskets, hardware, handle and glazing unit. We do not assume a hardware manufacturer from the Drutex brand name alone.

Drutex window adjustment

Adjustment can include sash position, hinges, compression and cooperating hardware within the range provided by the installed system. Window adjustment starts from 50 PLN.

Hardware and handle repair or replacement

If diagnostics confirms a failed component, we select a compatible part according to the system, variant and current availability. The exact part source and variant are confirmed only after the system is identified and availability is checked.

Gasket replacement

Gaskets are replaced according to their actual condition and compatibility with the window construction. We do not apply a fixed rule that every Drutex gasket needs replacement after a certain number of years.

Insulated glass replacement

Persistent misting between panes indicates loss of seal in the insulated glass unit. If the frame and sash remain suitable, the glazing unit can be replaced without replacing the whole window.

What can you check yourself?

• Sash – check whether it moves without rubbing or excessive force.
• Handle – do not force it through resistance; jamming can have several causes.
• Gaskets – look for cracking, permanent deformation or displacement.
• Glazing – distinguish moisture on a glass surface from persistent misting sealed between panes.

The common “paper test” can show a difference in resistance at one point, but it cannot identify whether the cause is the gasket, compression, sash geometry or another component.

Are older Drutex windows always worth repairing?

There is no answer based on age alone. Repairability depends on the condition of the profile and frame, the fault, compatible-parts availability and the economics of the repair. We do not assess the overall service life of the window from brand or age alone; repair versus replacement depends on the condition of the specific construction.
