Window Diagnostics

Window diagnostics establishes the actual cause of a problem before repair begins. We provide free diagnostics for windows and supported balcony doors. We do not service entrance doors or HST systems.

The technician checks the reported symptoms and the components that may be related to them. We then explain the cause, recommend the appropriate scope of work and provide an exact quotation. Repair only begins after you approve the quote.

What does window diagnostics include?

The scope is adapted to the individual request. We do not replace parts by guesswork or assume a cause from the symptom alone. Depending on the problem, we may check:

• sash operation and geometry – whether it opens, closes and sits correctly in relation to the frame;
• hardware and locking – the handle, hinges, locking points and other relevant mechanism components;
• gaskets – their condition, position and visible damage;
• the glazing unit – including visible damage or persistent fogging between panes;
• visible window-to-opening connections – when they may be relevant to the reported problem.

The important point is not the label used for the service but identifying what is actually causing the reported symptom and whether it falls within our service scope.

Which symptoms are worth diagnosing?

Free diagnostics is a useful first step when:

• the sash rubs, drops, is difficult to close or the handle becomes stiff;
• you feel a draught or cold near a closed window;
• a gasket is damaged or deformed, or you are unsure whether it needs replacing;
• there is persistent fogging between panes or the glazing unit is damaged;
• you do not know whether adjustment, repair or another solution is required;
• you want to understand the work and price before making a decision.

The same symptom can have several causes. A draught does not automatically mean a worn gasket, and a stiff handle does not prove that the handle itself is faulty. We diagnose first and recommend the solution afterwards.

What do you receive after diagnostics?

After checking the reported windows or doors, the technician:

• explains the identified cause of the problem;
• recommends the appropriate repair within our service scope;
• provides an exact quotation before any paid work begins;
• tells you if the issue falls outside our service scope.

If you approve the quotation, we can proceed with the agreed repair. If the diagnosis is clear, you approve the quotation and the correct parts are available, the agreed repair may be completed during the same visit. If a component has to be ordered, we arrange the next service date.

Is the diagnostic really free?

Yes. Diagnostics and the technician call-out to assess the reported work are free. The free assessment does not depend on you booking a repair afterwards. If you decide not to proceed after receiving the diagnosis and quotation, there is no charge for the diagnostic assessment or call-out.

Diagnostics before buying a property or carrying out renovation

You can also request an assessment when buying a property with existing windows or planning renovation and wanting to know which reported units need service. The scope depends on the number of windows and the purpose of the visit. This service is a service assessment within the work we perform; it is not a building survey or formal expert report.

What should you prepare before the visit?

When registering, it helps to provide the number of units and describe the symptoms as precisely as possible. You can also note:

• window type – PVC, timber or aluminium; for roof windows, we confirm the available scope individually;
• symptoms – such as rubbing, sash drop, draught, handle problems or fogging between panes;
• window age – if known;
• previous repairs – if any have been carried out.

You do not need to identify the fault or hardware manufacturer yourself – that is part of the diagnostic process.

Brands and systems we work with

We service windows from a wide range of manufacturers and systems, including VEKA, Salamander, Aluplast, REHAU, Drutex, Oknoplast, MS Więcbork, Schüco and Aluprof, as well as Roto, Winkhaus, MACO and Siegenia hardware. A window brand does not always identify the fitted hardware, so we identify the actual system and component before selecting parts.

If a repair requires replacement of a component, we use a new, original part suitable for the identified system. Required components are taken from our stock or ordered from our suppliers.

How does our service work?

The service process is simple and transparent — six steps from first contact to warranty:

• Contact – fill in a short form or call us. We call back within approximately 15 minutes.
• Free on-site diagnostics – a technician arrives at the agreed time and assesses the condition on site.
• We explain the cause – we show you exactly what needs to be repaired.
• We present the cost – after diagnostics we provide an exact quote. No hidden fees.
• We carry out the repair – after your approval we complete the work, most often during the same visit.
• You verify the result – we test the outcome together. You receive a service report, a warranty on the work performed, and the manufacturer's warranty on original parts.

Where do we provide free diagnostics?

We operate in our current service regions, including Warsaw, Poznań, Kraków, Katowice and Silesia and Łódź. Availability for a specific address is confirmed when you register.

What can come next after diagnostics?

If the diagnosed fault falls within our service scope, we recommend the appropriate service. No paid repair is carried out automatically without your approval:

• Window adjustment – when diagnostics confirms a problem that can be corrected through adjustment;
• Gasket replacement – when the gasket condition actually justifies replacement;
• Window repair – when repair or replacement of components within our service scope is required;
• Mechanism replacement – when diagnostics confirms a hardware component needs repair or replacement;
• Glazing-unit replacement – when the sealed unit is damaged or has persistent fogging between panes.

How much does window and door diagnostics cost?

0 PLN for diagnostics and the technician call-out to assess the work. Once the cause has been identified, we provide the exact price of the proposed repair. Paid work begins only after you approve the quotation.
