Window Ventilators
Airtight PVC windows trap moisture inside – leading to condensation and mould risk. A window ventilator provides a constant, controlled supply of fresh air without opening the window.

Window trickle vents – the solution to moisture and mould
Sealed PVC windows completely cut off natural airflow. The results: moisture on the glass, condensation near the frame, and after a few seasons – mould on the wall. A window trickle vent solves the problem without heat loss.
Why do sealed windows cause moisture?
Old wooden windows let air through micro-gaps – uncomfortable, but ventilated. PVC windows are completely airtight. Moisture from cooking, washing and breathing has nowhere to escape from the flat. It collects on cold surfaces – first on the glass, then near the frame, eventually on the wall behind a wardrobe.
Without a trickle vent, bathroom and kitchen extractors don't work properly. A trickle vent is the missing link – it provides controlled fresh air without draughts.
Two types of trickle vent – which is better?
Humidity-controlled vents respond automatically to humidity level. When humidity rises, they open wider. Passive control, no electricity, no batteries.
Pressure-controlled vents respond to pressure differences. In strong wind they partially close – reducing noise. A good solution in cities with heavy traffic.
How is a trickle vent fitted?
The vent is fitted in the upper part of the window frame – in PVC profiles a hole of precise dimensions is routed. Fitting one vent takes 30–60 minutes. The frame's thermal insulation remains undisturbed.
How much does trickle vent installation cost?
Humidity-controlled vent with fitting: from 130 PLN per unit. Pressure-controlled: from 110 PLN. Mould remediation in a flat costs 500–3,000 PLN for one wall – a vent costs a fraction of that.
What trickle vents do we install?
Models matched to the window type and the room's ventilation needs
Humidity-controlled trickle vents
Automatically regulate airflow based on the room's humidity level. When humidity rises (e.g. at night or after a bath), the vent opens wider. Recommended for bedrooms, bathrooms, and rooms prone to condensation.
Pressure-controlled trickle vents
Regulate airflow based on the pressure difference between indoors and outdoors. In strong wind, airflow is restricted — preventing excessive draughts. Well suited to living rooms and reception rooms.
Trickle vent installation in a PVC window
Routing a slot in the top of the PVC frame or sash, fitting the vent and external cover. Work is carried out without removing the window. Profile compatibility is checked on site before any work begins.
Trickle vent installation in a timber window
Fitting into wooden frames requires routing the timber — the technician selects a vent suited to the profile thickness and grain direction. The installation point is sealed with a flexible sealant.
Replacement of blocked trickle vents
Old or dust-clogged vents lose airflow capacity and stop functioning properly. We remove the old vent, clean the slot, and fit a new model — with no interference to the profiles.
Acoustic trickle vents
Models with an internal acoustic baffle — they reduce outside noise while maintaining adequate air exchange. Recommended for flats on busy streets.
Why does a PVC window need a trickle vent?
Three technical facts worth knowing
PVC windows are airtight – and that's exactly the problem
Old wooden windows were leaky and ventilated naturally through gaps in the profiles. Modern PVC windows with multi-chamber seals eliminate that uncontrolled airflow. Without a trickle vent or regular airing, indoor humidity rises, leading to condensation on cold glass panes and – over time – to mould.
Hygro-controlled or pressure-controlled – which to choose?
A hygro-controlled vent responds to humidity – it opens wider when the air is moist. It works well in bedrooms, kitchens, and bathrooms. A pressure-controlled vent responds to wind – it restricts airflow during strong gusts. Better suited to rooms on the windward side or buildings in open areas. A technician can help select the right model for each specific room.
A trickle vent isn't enough for serious condensation
If condensation appears between the panes or on external walls (not just on the glass), the problem may run deeper – a failed double-glazed unit, a thermal bridge in the profile, or inadequate heating. A trickle vent helps with condensation caused by high indoor humidity, but it won't fix a damaged glazing unit.
