Siegenia Hardware Repair

SIEGENIA manufactures hardware systems for windows and doors, and several generations and product families can be found in Tilt&Turn windows. Important names include TITAN AF, TITAN iP and FAVORIT; older installations may also carry AUBI or SIEGENIA-AUBI markings.

We service standard SIEGENIA window hardware as part of our broader window-mechanism service. We do not select parts from the logo alone. Before adjustment or repair, we identify the hardware family, variant, window construction, component markings and how the relevant parts interface.

What do TITAN AF, TITAN iP, FAVORIT and AUBI mean?

• TITAN AF is a SIEGENIA Tilt&Turn hardware family. Its development includes the 3D KoPiBo comfort mushroom cam, introduced into the TITAN AF range.
• TITAN iP was introduced by SIEGENIA in 2002 and remains listed within the manufacturer's TITAN window-hardware portfolio.
• FAVORIT is SIEGENIA's long-established Tilt&Turn hardware family dating back to the 1970s. It should not automatically be treated as unsupported: SIEGENIA still presents FAVORIT and maintains an extensive spare-parts catalogue.
• AUBI / SIEGENIA-AUBI markings occur on older hardware. SIEGENIA acquired AUBI Baubeschläge in 1998, and the companies were merged as SIEGENIA-AUBI KG in 2003.

These names help identify a product family and generation, but they are not complete part numbers. Dimensions, profile-specific versions, direction and configuration can still differ within a family.

Are TITAN, FAVORIT and AUBI components interchangeable?

There is no single rule for entire product families. SIEGENIA's official spare-parts catalogue contains components listed for TITAN AF, TITAN iP and FAVORIT together, as well as dedicated adapters connecting specified FAVORIT/A300 components with TITAN AF. Compatibility therefore exists in particular cases, but it must be verified at component and configuration level.

With older AUBI and FAVORIT hardware, we do not assume that the complete mechanism must be replaced. We first identify the failed component and check for a manufacturer part, repair kit or technically compatible service solution. A wider replacement is considered only when a component-level repair is not technically justified or safe.

How can you help identify SIEGENIA hardware before the visit?

• Photograph the complete sash so the window type and hinge side are visible.
• Look for markings on the faceplate, corner drive, stay, hinge or other visible hardware components.
• Take close-ups of the faulty area and readable numbers, symbols or names such as SIEGENIA, AUBI, TITAN or FAVORIT.
• Do not dismantle the mechanism simply to find a number. If a marking cannot be read safely, we can identify the hardware during on-site diagnostics.

Photographs help us prepare, but they do not replace measurements and inspection of how the installed components work together.

Which symptoms justify SIEGENIA hardware diagnostics?

• the sash has dropped, rubs against the frame or has visibly shifted;
• the handle has become noticeably stiffer;
• the window no longer moves correctly between the functions provided by its construction;
• locking works unevenly or requires excessive force;
• the closed sash no longer contacts the frame evenly or a draught appears;
• a visible hardware component has play, cracking, deformation or unusual wear marks.

None of these symptoms identifies one failed part automatically. Similar behaviour can result from sash geometry, adjustment, component wear, fastening, a gasket or several causes at once.

How do we service SIEGENIA window hardware?

1. Identify the system and construction

We check markings, mechanism layout, profile material, hinge-side arrangement and the functions of the installed window. Part numbers and dimensions are particularly important with older FAVORIT/AUBI hardware.

2. Assess geometry and hardware operation

We inspect sash movement, hinges, perimeter hardware, corner drives, locking components, the handle drive and corresponding keeps where present. The first objective is to establish the cause of resistance or incorrect positioning.

3. Adjust where appropriate

If the construction and component condition allow adjustment, we correct sash position and cooperating hardware according to the installed system. SIEGENIA systems contain different adjustable elements and ranges, so one universal procedure is not applied to TITAN AF, TITAN iP, FAVORIT and AUBI.

4. Repair or replace the failed component

Replacement selection follows identification of the system, dimensions and function. Depending on the generation, the solution may use a manufacturer component, repair kit or compatible service part. We do not promise availability of a specific historical component before identification.

5. Verify operation after service

We test the functions provided by the specific window, including opening, tilting, closing, handle operation and locking. If the complaint also involves sash geometry, a gasket or another independent issue, we explain that separately.

Maintenance and safe checks you can make yourself

SIEGENIA publishes documentation for its hardware systems, and maintenance requirements depend on the installed construction. You can safely record visible markings, note when resistance occurs and check whether the sash rubs against the frame. Do not force a stiff handle or turn unidentified adjustment screws at random. A paper test or a noticeable draught cannot by itself establish whether the cause is hardware, sash geometry or a gasket.

We use original spare parts or high-quality replacements — depending on the manufacturer and component availability.

How much does SIEGENIA window-hardware service cost?

Our current price list shows window adjustment from 50 PLN and mechanism replacement from 50 PLN. These are service starting prices, not a guaranteed price for every SIEGENIA repair. The final cost depends on the diagnosed fault, hardware system, required parts and actual scope of work. On-site diagnostics and technician call-out are free, and we provide the exact quote before paid work begins.

An indicative service price list is available separately. After registration, we contact you within about 15 minutes. Completed work carries a written guarantee of up to five years; its scope and duration depend on the service performed.
